Review: Exploring Flavors at The Kind Roastery & Brew Room, JP Nagar
Breakfast done right: of coffee, sourdough tartines and berliners
On Independence Day morning, after visiting Lalbagh to witness the famous flower show, we decided to treat ourselves to a delightful breakfast at The Kind Roastery & Brew Room in JP Nagar. I had been hearing great things about this cozy and inviting cafΓ©, known for its unique menu offerings and calm ambience (along with coworking space on the mezzanine floor). From the moment we parked the car, we knew we were going to have a good experience.
This is how ET Hospitality describes the cafe: βThe Kind Roastery and Brewroom encapsulates an elevated, homegrown, fuss-free fuss-free energy that provides food, good coffee, and experiences in a relaxed and present atmosphere. The brand persona is built on four pillars: The Kind Brews, The Kind People, The Kind Planet, and The Kind Food.β
Apple Latte: A Twist of Refreshment
To kick off the morning, I opted for an Apple Latte. This fascinating concoction combined the comforting warmth of a latte with a burst of fresh apple puree. The subtle sweetness of the apple complimented the smooth espresso, creating a drink that was both refreshing and comforting.
Classic Cold Coffee and Cold Pressed Juice to Beat the Heat
Rachayeta and Atiksh wanted cooler drinks so we ordered a classic cold coffee and freshly pressed pineapple juice. The rich, velvety coffee was perfectly chilled, with less sugar and more coffee (how cold coffee should be). With every sip, you could savor the blend of coffee and creaminess. The juice was a let down though and the less I write about it the better.
Korean Garlic Bread & Sourdough Tartines: Savory Delights
First, we tried the Korean Garlic Bread (picture above) which was filled with cream cheese and topped with chopped garlic. It melted in the mouth and Atiksh liked it so much that we got only one small slice each.

The Sourdough Beirut: The roasted mushrooms and creamy hummus combined sat perfectly atop the sourdough bread. Each bite was consistent and not once I felt that the mushrooms were not roasted properly or the hummus was not consistently spread on the fresh crunchy sourdough.
As a lover of unique flavors, we couldn't resist trying the Sun-Dried Tomatoes PΓ’tΓ© and Parmesan on sourdough toast. The tangy richness of the sun-dried tomato pate paired remarkably well with the savory notes of the parmesan. The crispiness of the sourdough added a lovely crunch to this creative dish.
Sweet Finale: Nutella Berliner & Dulce de Leche Bomboloni
The Nutella Berliner captured my attention as I remembered numerous pictures on Instagram of the same. With every bite, I experienced a symphony of flavors - the tender dough, the tasty Nutella filling, and a light dusting of sugar that added a delicate crunch. See it to believe it.
To wrap up, I indulged in the Dulce de Leche Bomboloni. The tender Berliner, filled with creamy milk jam, was a perfect ending to the delightful breakfast.

From the comforting sips of the Apple Latte to the indulgent bites of the Nutella Berliner, I couldn't help but feel happy for the freedom to celebrate Independence Day with such a diverse and delectable spread.
