It was a Wednesday earlier this month when we decided to explore RMZ Ecoworld for lunch post applying for a passport for Atiksh. The idea was to go to Café Noir but then we glanced upon Lavonne’s newest outlet. They had not officially launched but had started operations and I had to try it out.
For those of you who are not familiar, Lavonne is one of the finest academies of Baking Science and Pastry Arts. And they run one of my favorite cafés in Bengaluru, Lavonne Café.
Indulging in decadence
The ambience was simple and chic like all other Lavonne Cafés. There was a separate section where a shoot was going on to record baking processes (for the social channels I assume).
We started by ordering beverages for all three of us. Cappuccino for me, hot chocolate with marshmallows for Rachayeta, and tender coconut water for Atiksh.

The cappuccino and the tender coconut were as expected but lets spend a bit talking about the decadent hot chocolate. Now, a hot chocolate is the perfect winter treat to warm the soul and this one was no different. The only complaint I could have is it was not thick enough but Lazy Suzy has spoilt me forever. The marshmallows were so yummy that Atiksh did not let us have any 😁
Pancake Paradise: Towers of Sweet and Savory
The food menu was still limited so we ordered both sweet and savory pancakes. The sweet ones were two flapjacks layered with fresh fruit (strawberry, blueberry, banana), chocolate, brüteed marshmallows, vanilla ice cream, and choice of syrup / honey / ganache. We went for honey on the side and they also served maple syrup along with it. I have never imagined marshmallows on pancakes but boy were they a yummy addition. Atiksh and I thoroughly enjoyed them.

The savory pancakes were a pleasant surprise. Layered with jalapeno cream cheese, they were topped with two of my favorite breakfast items - fried eggs and crispy bacon. I loved them so much that I gobbled them up in 10 mins 😋
A savory delight for sandwich lovers
The Croissan'wich, a breakfast sandwich featuring a croissant as the bread, was created by the fast-food chain Burger King (surprise, surprise). Lavonne makes mean Croissanwiches, so we ordered a pesto grilled English vegetable croissanwich. As the name suggests, it’s vegetables (lettuce, tomato, zucchini) layered on a pesto sauce base topped with cheese between a freshly baked crispy flaky croissant. Rachayeta loved it and thus ended our lovely lunch at Lavonne’s newest café.
Oh and before I forget, they serve these lovely vanilla cookies with the coffee and I loved them so much that I asked if I could buy a box. Unfortunately they don’t sell them (yet) but since the service at Lavonne is impeccable, they bought me a couple of more cookies before I left.
Final Thoughts
As expected, Lavonne did not disappoint. The consistency across their outlets (this is their 4th one) is mindblowing. I’m looking forward to going again and again as it’s so close to my place now. If you have not been to one of their cafés, you have to. And I have not even talked about how decadent their desserts are. You got to try their tiramisu, 7 chocolate mousse cake, the cheesecake, the berliner, and more before you can say you have been to Lavonne.
If you have been to Lavonne, get in the comments about your experience and your favorite dishes / desserts. Bon Appétit!
