Birthday Staycation at JW Mariott in Nandi Hills
Rachayeta's birthday turned out to be a special stay at the hottest JW property in town
Okay this one’s super late and been due for a month and a half. On May 17, we celebrated Rachayeta’s birthday at the JW Marriott Bengaluru Prestige Golfshire Resort & Spa on the Nandi Hills road, and I must say, it was an exceptional stay from start to finish.
Arrival and First Impressions
As we arrived at JW, we were immediately struck by the grandeur and elegance of the hotel. The lobby was beautiful, setting a warm and welcoming tone for our stay. The staff greeted us with genuine smiles. Gayatri ensured a smooth check-in process and kept checking in throughout the stay to ensure we had a great experience.

Accommodation
Our room was a perfect blend of luxury and comfort. Spacious, well-appointed, and offering stunning views of the magnificent hills, lush greenery and serene waters outside. It was clear that every detail had been thoughtfully considered to provide the utmost comfort. The housekeeping staff had also done a lovely towel art and decorated the room with balloons for Rachayeta’s birthday, which made her feel incredibly special.

F&B Experience
One of the highlights of our stay was undoubtedly the food. The first day we had lunch at Perch on our way to the hotel as the check in time was 3 pm (blog on that coming soon). So by the time we checked in, it was time for high tea at 5 pm. The tea was okay but the highlight was the ‘mathri’ and the tangy ‘chaat’.
Next came the real deal. Now I had booked the room with a lounge access so that we have access to tea, coffee and snacks all day round. So, we went to the lounge at 5.45 pm to grab a cup of coffee but when the staff told us that the bar opens at 6 pm, we were pleasantly surprised. And they also had a nice food spread to go with it.
And the surprise turned to awe when they served Clarendelle Rosé on the house (for the noobs, Clarendelle was the official wine at the Oscars). All-in-all we had a great time celebrating Rachayeta’s birthday at the lounge but more surprises were in store.

When we reached the room, we found that Chef Sangeet Panwar had gone above and beyond by sending a special birthday cake (made with delectable dark chocolate) and a selection of delightful treats. The gesture made the celebration even more memorable.
On 18th, we started with the best breakfast spread you will have ever have. The crowd was a little too much due to a EY conference so could not take a video. But let me give you a tour.
It starts with the English spread - boiled eggs, live egg counter, hash browns, wedges, turkey bacon, sausages, and a few more options. Then they have a sushi counter (yes, I know), crackers and 6 types of cheese, fruits and juices. There’s a south Indian spread which includes idli, vada, pongal, upma, kesari bath, live dose counter and more. There’s also a Gujarati/Indian spread with dhokla, fafda, samosa, kachori, etc., a breads section with 6 types of croissants, and a live coffee and tea counter + a Hatti Kaapi counter next to the pool for delicious filter coffee.

But the star of the breakfast is the innumerable desserts that they have - donuts, muffins, Danish (5-6 types of each), live waffle and pancake counter, ice cream, yogurt, mudpie, halwa, and some more options I can’t remember.
We had lunch at their Asian restaurant, aptly called East. This was highly recommended by my friend PD (looks like all great recommendations come from him now). We had a lovely time, especially enjoying the sushi and the Korean kimchi fried rice.

Activities and Amenities
The hotel offers a plethora of amenities, and we made sure to take full advantage of them. I used the temperature controlled pool and it was an experience worth the dime. We used the games room to play a round of mini bowling - Atiksh bowled for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed it.

More than us, Atiksh had a fantastic time and the staff’s attention to his needs was heartwarming. They provided him with thoughtful gifts, which kept him entertained and happy throughout our stay. He even took part in the art activity where an artist drew him a picture to color and he loved standing at the easel board to color.

He had special fun hula hooping and running around though as the property has loads of space to run around, lie down in a hammock or just sit on one of many benches to enjoy the beautiful Bangalore weather.
Exceptional Service
The service at JW Marriott Bengaluru Prestige Golfshire was impeccable. Every member of the staff went out of their way to ensure we had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Their attention to detail and genuine care for their guests was evident in every interaction. Special mention to Gandhi from housekeeping for ensuring we had a great time.
Our stay at JW Marriott Bengaluru Prestige Golfshire was a perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and unforgettable service. It was a memorable way to celebrate Rachayeta’s birthday, and we left with wonderful memories and a strong desire to return (I want to try their Indian restaurant Aaleeshaan). I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious getaway with top-notch service. Pro tip: book with lounge access for the free drinks and food for dinner.
Thank you for reading, and I hope you enjoyed this little glimpse into our special celebration. Until next time!
